The growth of Information Technology and the presence of Digital Economy in the community causing business competition both in the micro and macro sectors which also demanded readiness SMEs facing this era. This research aims to explore the readiness of SMEs, especially those engaged in creative industries in Surakarta in the face of the digital economy society (Digital Economy Ecosytem) seen from business credibility (business identity, business profile), management capability, readiness to reach wider market, e-banking and online services. This research is a descriptive study using primary data obtained from a survey of 100 SMEs (Fashion, Culinary and Crafts) in five sub-districts in Surakarta and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results shows that most SMEs respondents in Surakarta City are not ready to face the digital economy community. This can be seen from the weak of business credibility, weak of business management,lack of promotion media in product marketing process.
