Abstract

Fruit is a food that has a relatively short shelf life so that processing into various food products such as candied, jam, sauce, dodol can be done. The purpose of community service is to provide skills about fruit-based food processing to housewives in Kampung Bugis. This effort is done by 1) providing knowledge about the characteristics of fruit, changes in fruit, higines and packaging techniques of the product 2) discussion of fruitbased processing, 3) fruit-based fruit-making practices and 4) assistance in processing food. The impact of this activity is the increase of knowledge on housewives in Kampung Bugis in fruit-based food processing is shown from the average result of the final test of 83.10 from the initial test of 71.38 or there is an increase in knowledge and skills in fruit-based food processing equal to 16.4%.
