Abstract

The mapping of potential areas to landslide disaster-prone was done on the transportation routes of North Bali – South Bali located in Gitgit Village. The purpose of this activity is to know the distribution of potential areas to landslide disaster and the existing condition in the field. This activity used the method of Geographies Information System based mapping which actualize the guidelines of Ina. Risk and Perka BNPB No. 2 in 2012, and combined with society participation. The participation of society was represented by disaster volunteer team of Gitgit Village. The result obtained that 36.4% of Gitgit Village are in the low potential, 10.2% are in the medium potential, and 53.4% are in the high potential to landslide disaster. Along the transportation routes in Gitgit Village start form 8o10’51”S, 115o7’59”E to 8o11’37”S, 115o8’23”E are in the medium potential, meanwhile 8o11’37”S, 115o8’23”E to 8o12’42”S, 115o8’38”E are in the high potential. Based on the sample test by purposive sampling toward 10 sample points along the road with the distance between samples is 500 m, was obtained that 5 sample points have been landslide and 5 sample points have not been yet. The samples which its existing conditions have been landslide happened in the medium-high potential areas. Meanwhile, the samples that have not been landslides happened in the low potential areas
