Tedung is one of the means of ceremony in Hinduism. The activity of tedung handicraft done by the
craftsman of Paksebali village, klungkung. They pursue the craft tedung as hereditary. Tedung craftsmen spread
almost in all districts / cities in Bali. They produce tedung for Hindu ceremonial means and is only purchased by
local consumers. Because it happens tight marketing competition. The tightness of price competition and the high
price of raw materials cause the craftsmen can not continue to produce, as experienced by Tedung craftsmen at
Paksebali village. To overcome this problem and attempt to build a craft as a local culture, Paksebali villagers
were trained to make decorative lamps by modifying the shape of tedung. Tedung shape is still maintained as
before, only its function as a decorative lamps. Decorative lamps can be used in hotels, restaurants, and housing.
Thus this decorative lamp has a wider market opportunity.
