Abstract

This P2M program generally aims to provide real knowledge and skills about the implementation of science and technology in the development of sports in rock climbing Buleleng district, Bali province. The target audience is the trainers in FPTI Buleleng and teachers (Elementary School, Junior High School, Senior High School or equivalent) in Buleleng district which has been actively involved in developing the sport of rock climbing in their school which amounts to 20 people. The methods used are lecture method, demonstration and direct practice, question and answer, and training in the form of internship/workshop. The results of P2M program implementation show that: 1) Mastery of trainees on the application of sports science and technology in the development of sports rock climbing has increased by 13,15%, 2) During the training, participants are positive, shown by being on time, uniformed, focused and creative, and  respect to the speakers and other participants, 3) Understanding participants to: a) superior sports and rock climbing existence as a leading sport in the province of Bali, b) the importance of the application of science and technology in sports coaching, especially the sport of rock climbing, and c) the procedures and practice of climbing the cliffs safely and comfortably increased, and 4) the skills of participants within: a) set the dominant physical component in rock climbing, b) the standard instruments along with norms or standards of measurement of dominant physical components in rock climbing, and c) the preparation and implementation of athlete training programs, both short-term, medium and long-term (microcycle, mesocycle, and macrocycle) are increasing and tangible.
