Studi Pendahuluan Sebagai Dasar Pengembangan Bahan Ajar IPA Terpadu dengan Model Group Investigation
Science learning aims to improve the thinking and working ability of a student in their life. In the learning process in accordance with the current curriculum, students are required to study independently and build their own knowledge, where a teacher only as a facilitator in learning. But the fact in science IPA field cannot be implemented properly. An alternative solution to this problem is the development of integrated IPA resources with group investigation model. Prior to developing the teaching materials, it is necessary to introduce the main research on the development of integrated IPA teaching materials with a character education oriented group investigation model to improve students' conceptual understanding to design the teaching materials to be developed. The purpose of this research is to analyze the need to design a draft of integrated IPA teaching materials with group investigation model. Needs analysis is done through literature study and field study. A literature study was conducted to gather information on the curriculum in the school, indicators of problem-solving skills, character education indicators and group investigation models. Field studies were conducted to collect information on the learning process, teaching materials used, constraints faced by teachers in the implementation of science learning and understanding of student concepts. The results of this study provide a real picture of the need for development of integrated IPA teaching materials with group investigation model.
