Abstract

In general, Internet technology has been accepted to facilitate marketing activities by small company. But, not of all of SMEs can implement Internet marketing successfully. A case study method was used to investigate the causes of the discontinuance of co-online store that adopted by cooperative in Sidoarjo. There are three factors such as inproper management organization, technological barriers, and lack of external support are identified to be the cause of discontinuance of online stores that have been established by cooperative SMEs members. Organizational factors include resource constraints and lack of member commitment. Technological factors include innovation characteristics and technology readiness. Finally, the termination phase by agent when the cooperative has not been able to implement the innovation is an environmental factor affected online store discontinued.
