Abstract

The purposes of this study were to: (1) Develop multimedia information literacy (MLI) through The Big6 Model to improve literacy skills of user at Undiksha library, (2) Validate MLI quality, and (3) Know MLI effectiveness. This research was a multimedia development research by adopting Luther model. The subjects of this study were user and experts, while the objects of the research were MLI, user’sand experts’ responses. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews and observations. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively. This research has succeeded in developing MLI. Based on theexperts’ validation, MLI is feasible to be implemented as an interactive tutorial in information literacy. MLI is very effectively implemented with the acquisition of 88.1% percentage. Finally, MLI is able to increase understanding and at the same time motivated the usersin solving problems confidentially, critically as well as ethically
