Abstract

The Balinization policy is implemented "as if" for the local interest, whereas it wants to be packaged to make Bali a living museum for the interests of western capitalists through the development of exotic cultural tourism. Research procedure: First, the observation stage - sets the focus of the study. The study finds that Balinization / Baliseering is motivated by colonial interests to maintain power in Bali. Balinization could stem modernism, nationalism, Islamism and communism, so that Bali became a living museum, restricting the educated elite from the influence of nationalist and radical ideologies, backed by the traditional elite from within. Desakralisasi the idea of the relief of the temple, which is generally full of moral, sacral, mythological messages become very pragmatic, materialist, and down to earth. Relief was expected to be an interesting tourist attraction. Rudolf Bonnet and Wolters Spies through Pita Maha Foundation commanding art by giving a touch of modern art to Balinese painting and sculpture, so that there is a modern painting and sculpture that is destined for foreign tourists who come to Bali. The hegemony, the colonization of ideas, and the commodification of Bali have ideological implications not realized that Bali has been ideology and even market religion, from Bali name of things to money, Bali has been depleted in the world of tourism.
