SCHOOL HEALTH DEVELOPMENT INDEX (SHDI) DI SEKOLAH DASAR KABUPATEN BULELENG

Abstract

The Grand strategy of Health's Ministry is the functioning of an evidence-based health information system through basic data and health indicators, therefore this study aims to descibe the school health development index (SHDI). The sample of this research is 18 elementry schools (SD) in Buleleng Regency. Using participatory observation, documentation studies and interviews methods. Based on the results and discussion can be concluded; 1) SHDI SD Index in Buleleng Regency is good (0.74), with a range of 0,56-0,84. The school with the highest index was obtained by SD 4 kalibukbuk and the lowest index was SD 2 Anturan, 2) Almost all schools did not have explicit health element in their school vision and mission; 3) almost all school health program schools were limited and had no written report on the health programs, 3) The facilities are good enough, but most schools do not have warehouses, and food in the canteen can not be controlled, especially foods that have no signs of BPOM, 4) Healthy behavior of school residents is good, especially the behavior of teachers and students.
