Pengembangan Model Pembelajaran 5M (Memahami, Mengingat, Menemukan, Mengulang dan Mengevaluasi) Berbasis Pendekatan Kuriositas Siswa
This research was a quantitative research with experimental quasi type by using nonequivalent control group design. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of the development of 5M learning model (Understanding, Remembering, Finding, Repeating and Evaluating) based on student curiosity approach. The population of the study was 92 students with the number of samples each of class were 30 students. Sampling technique was Non-random sampling with purposive sampling type, where the students of class VIII B as the experimental class and class VIII A as the control class. Instrument test used essay test. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class (78.67) was higher than the control class with average score (68.40). Data analysis based on t test obtained t value 6,889 with significant level 95% (α = 0,05) with t table 1,701. It means that t value> t table or 6,889> 1,701 then Ho is rejected and H1 accepted, so it can be concluded that the 5M learning model based on the student's curiosity approach influences the learning process.
