IMPLEMENTASI LESSON STUDY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN MATA KULIAH SINTAKSIS PADA JURUSAN PENDIDIKAN BAHASA INGGRIS TAHUN AKADEMIK 2017/2018
This research aimed at improving the quality of the teaching and learning process in syntax class through lesson study. The design of the research was descriptive-qualitative, in which the subjects were one of the syntax lecturers together with his students. The data were collected through audio-visual recording device, observation sheet, and interview guide. The results showed that the quality of the teaching and learning could be increased through the use lesson study which combined student-centered and cooperative learning. By applying the method, the students who on the previous cycle studied individually and less active, studied in heteregenous groups actively on the following two cycles. The students could also comprehend the knowledge and skills discussed well. Besides, the lecturer was also satisfied with the students’ behavior and achievement in the class, and obtained a deep understanding on a qualified syntax’s teaching and learning process.
