Abstract

Indonesian students only know the domain of knowledge but they are necessary to improve the learning process that can develop the reasoning ability as one of the important factors in improving mathematical achievement. The development of connecting, extending and review (CER) based models is a learning that encourages students to learn by connecting knowledge and materials that will be learned, constructing knowledge optimally, and cooperating in learning. The development of this model is an attempt to provide an alternative, practical, meaningful and fun learning model. The development of this learning model uses a research and development design and obtained the result of the improvement of the reasoning ability of mathematics average reach 57% with effect size of CER model average at 86.24%, this shows that the application of CER learning model has a consistent impact on the students' mathematical reasoning ability
