KEAUTENTIKAN ASESMEN GURU DALAM KONTEKS K13
This study aims at analyzing the authenticity of teachers’ made assessment in Elementary schools that implement curriculum of 2013 in Buleleng sub district. The authenticity of teachers’ made assessment would be seen based on the assessment planning and its implementation. Exploratory mix-method was used as the design of this study which focused on describing the qualitative data supported by quantitative data. This study involved five English teachers and nine classes of students in total. The data were collected through documentation questionnaires, and interview. The data from the documentation were analyzed using a rubrik and the data from the questionnaires were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, while data from interview were used to support the main data. The result of the data analysis showed that the authenticity of teachers’ assessment planning and implementation was sufficient. This authenticity level was influenced by the lack of relevancy of the teachers’ assessments to the characteristics of authentic assessment which resulted in the less ability of the assessment to meet the demands of the curriculum. Less appropriateness of the instrument was also another factor influencing this sufficiency. Although some assessments seemed to be authentic, less appropriateness of the implementation still occurred. Generally, the assessments planned and implemented are not able yet to represent students’ competency as it is required in real world.
