Abstrak

Program pelatihan skin diving bagi Kelompok Segara Amertha di Desa Banyuning, Buleleng, dilaksanakan sebagai upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat Segara Amertha dalam konservasi terumbu karang. Kegiatan ini mengintegrasikan pembelajaran teori, meliputi teknik selam, keselamatan, dan ekologi terumbu karang dengan praktik lapangan berupa selam bebas dan pemantauan dasar. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan peserta menyelam hingga ±10 meter, penggunaan dan perawatan alat selam, serta pemahaman ekologi terumbu karang. Sebanyak 80% peserta memenuhi standar teori, dan seluruh peserta menyelesaikan sesi praktik dengan aman. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa selam permukaan merupakan metode yang efektif dan berbiaya rendah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sumber daya laut secara partisipatif. Selain manfaat ekologis, program ini juga mendukung pengembangan ekowisata bahari berkelanjutan dan berpotensi direplikasi di wilayah pesisir lainnya.
