The Development of Passing Learning Model for Junior High School Students around Palu City

Abstract

The volleyball game is one of the games which is favored by society and has been entered in the world of education. The beauty of volleyball games can not be separated from the participation of mastering volleyball basic technique, one of them is passing. This technique has it is characteristic require qualified ability. Based on the result of observation inside one school known that the forms of a passing model given to students less varied and there is no development of model form that suited with the development of volleyball sport today, so the model effectiveness has not been seen. This research used research method and development (research and development) from Borg and Gall consisted of 10 steps. The effectiveness of the application of the volleyball model passing on students used the "t-test" technique. Before analyzing of data, normality test conducted from the result of data pretest and post-test volleyball passing used Kolmogorov Smirnov test at significance level α = 0,05. The result of volleyball passing between pretest with post-test obtained value tO = 4,486 much bigger than value tt = 1,796, therefore, the null hypotheses were rejected. The average value of pretest (x1) = 12.67 is smaller than the average of post-test (x2) = 13.92. Based on the development process, it can be concluded that: (1) by a model of volleyball passing for junior high school ages, the student can learn effectively and efficiently. (2) the model that has been developing is motivated and activated the students in processes of passing learning.
