Abstract

The tourism police are required to have competence to be able to provide maximum community services, especially in English communication. However, many members of the tourism police in Buleleng have minimal knowledge of international etiquette and are unable to communicate in English communicatively and effectively. Thus, the training aimed at facilitating the tourism police with international etiquette knowledge and English communication skills. The training was conducted using the CTL (contextual Teaching Learning) method which has 7 components: Inquiry, Questioning, Constructivism, Learning Community, Authentic Assessment, Modeling. This training involved 3 instructors to facilitate activities. After the training the participants' abilities were evaluated and found 18 people scored above 85 (very good), 11 people scored between 60-85 (good) and 1 person scored below 60 (not good). In addition, based on the participant's questionnaire, it was found that participants had a positive perception on the implementation of the activity and hoped that similar training would be held again in the future.
