PKM CRAFTS OF RELIGIOUS PIRANTI PRODUCTS FROM WOOD WASTE IN THE PETANDAKAN VILLAGE
The handicrafts developed by UD Asta Karya are the foundation of community economic activity in the village of Petangkap amidst the trend of handicrafts that are beginning to be looked at by local and international markets. Apart from having high artistic value, handicraft from wood waste is also described as a form of concern for the environment, however from the aspect of production, marketing and profit margins obtained are not yet optimal. Based on the results of field observations and interviews, the problems to be solved are (1) Business management still uses traditional management, (2) Inefficient production systems and smoke pollution. (3) Utilization of sawdust waste, and (4) Marketing of handicraft production relies on local and global market segments, which are highly dependent on the dynamics of collectors. The production and marketing problems faced by SMEs are pursued through the transfusion of science and technology and education. Efforts to solve the problem are carried out through technology transfer to partners in the form of (1) The realization of the Wood Gauges oven and smoke filters. (2) Establishment of business legality and organizational structure, , (3) Realization of new marketing media through website and social media, (4) Reuse of sawdust waste into incense.The method of implementing PKM uses the PALS (participatory action learning system) model, which is a model of community empowerment with stages of activities, (1) Awareness, (2) Capacitation, (3) Mentoring, and (4) Institutionalization. The outcome expected from the PKM program is, (1) Increased partners' ability to manage their business after obtaining a touch of IT. (2) Fulfillment of business partners' legality of PKM program publication in 1 local journal and 1 accredited national journal, (3) improvement of production process efficiency and reduce air pollution by 90%, and (4) Implementation of marketing models through website and socialmedia.
