BLASPHEMOUS COMMENTS IN SOCIAL MEDIA TIKTOK: SEMANTIC STUDIES

Abstract

The development of technology and the internet has brought great changes to people's lives. One popularly used platform is TikTok, where users can share short videos and interact with other users through comments and messages. However, in this context, the issue of using insulting and degrading language in comments has emerged. Therefore, this study aims to uncover the phenomenon of blasphemous language use in TikTok comments in Indonesia, focusing on understanding the type, meaning, and function of online social interaction. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. In this research is an inductive approach to analyze the use of blasphemous language styles in TikTok comments, focusing on an in-depth understanding of the context and meaning of the phenomenon. The results of this study reveal various types of blasphemous language styles used by Indonesian netizens in TikTok comments. Such as identifying the types of blasphemous language styles and knowing about the form, meaning and function of using blasphemous language in TikTok comments in Indonesia. Data collection is carried out from this research by means of screen capture or copying blasphemous comments on Tiktok comments in Indonesia.
